Bookshop on the Avenue is a locally owned and operated antiquarian, old, used, rare and out-of-print bookshop. We are Lynchburg's largest used bookshop with over 100,000 used & new books on 3 floors. Located at 3407 Memorial Avenue. We're a "Bookshop like you've never seen before", the building is painted red, white and blue with 13 stripes and 50 stars like our flag. We opened our doors April 15, 1989, but our roots go back to "Grampa's Paperback Book Exchange" in the 1970's when we opened for our father who ran the business for a number of years. We have over 20 years in the antiquarian book business and our services include mail order with shipping to any location. We also do appraisals and we search out hard to find, out-of-print books. For those of you who are book collecting see our section on book grading. We buy, sell and trade hundreds of collectible books a day and accept all major credit cards as well as Paypal.
