So now that we believe in God and know that the Bible is God's Word and speaks only the truth. Lets see what it is telling us.

Why are bad things happening in the world and why doesn't God step in to rectify the wrongs being done. Why is he letting these things happen to us?

God made us in His own image. He wants us to love and worship Him of our own free will, not like some robot or computer doing only what we are programmed to do. So He gave us a free will. That means we can do whatever we want to do. Remember the physical and spiritual laws we talked about earlier. Well one of the spiritual and physical laws is "we reap what we sow" in other words what happens to us is directly proportional to what we do. Isn't that amazing on how well that works? So all we have to do is make all the right decisions and only good things will happen to us, right? Not exactly.

Our ancesters, Adam and Eve decided not to believe what God told them. They disobeyed God. So now we are all born with a sinful nature. Not our fault, but thats the way it is. Another irrefutable law. Now because of this sinful nature (and with the devil's or satan's help) we can no longer make easy right decisions anymore. In fact making the right decisions is now extremely hard without God's help. So now, even though it is not our fault initially, we goof and do some bad things, make some wrong decisions. We are all in the same boat, the Bible says:
 Romans 3:23
All of us have sinned (done or thought bad things).
But this now has separated us from God because He is Holy and can not look upon sin.
